This is one of the rare weekend where we are in Atlanta for the whole weekend. Nevertheless, it is as fruitful as ever and packed with activities. We headed out on Saturday morning to a Chinese restaurant for 'dim sum' because Sunday is the 7th day of the Chinese lunar calendar. That day is marked as the birthday for everyone and traditionally it is celebrated with a nice meal with the family. We had 'brunch' at this really traditional Chinese restaurant and the food reminded me of home. An American friend from my class joined us for the meal and he really enjoyed the food and company. The next stop after the meal was to the aquarium in downtown Atlanta. The Georgia aquarium is located in the centennial Olympic park in Atlanta. The aquarium is the largest in the world and boast the large whale shark and the beluga. It is really a popular attraction as the queue ran for about 20 mins before we could enter the aquarium. There were all sorts of fish on display in really big tanks with some spanning about 3 storeys high. What an impressive sight! It is really mesmerizing to see the different fish swimming freely in the tanks. I particularly likes the tropical fish which we much more colourful than their deep sea counterparts.

The fish seems as interested in us as we are in them!
The divers only go into the piranha tank for 2 things; cleaning and taking the freshly laid eggs out. It is a life threatening activity!
Nemo loss his strips!
