The following day started early as we wanted to check out as much of the town as possible. The first stop is to the beach. We heard previously that Savannah has a real nice beach. Before heading out we had to fill our stomachs. The breakfast was a filling buffet in the hotel. We ate like we were filling up for the whole day. Well... in fact we wanted to.
The drive up to the beach was in fact very scenic by itself. The beach we headed to is on the Tybee island which is surround by marshland and rivers leading to and from the ocean. It was just a wide open space along the roads leading up to the beach.

There were many beach houses along the beach. It was real quite now because it is winter and the weather is pretty cold but I guess these are summer houses to many of the Americans. Some of the houses have signs in front advertising it for rent. It is also a nice retirement place because of the laid back pace in and around the town.
There were also many birds around the beach. There are pelicans, sea gulls and other smaller birds. They seem to enjoy the sea breeze a lot as the just glide seamlessly through the strong wind.

Flying in formation!

Beautiful day!
